We, Marcel and Roger Grivec., always like to experiment with new ideas. Now, we have come up with the idea to give our beloved Locker style an extra special touch. Therefore, we added special artisanal yellow paint on the welt of the back pocket. After many trials and errors, we’re happy that we found a way to add the yellow paint by hand properly as we love to do everything as much as possible in the authentic way.

For the paint, we chose yellow as this is together with white and burgundy the coolest color to wear on rigid (unwashed) jeans in our opinion. Next to that, yellow was also the main color in our identity of our Jeanspaleis store, which we used to run for 30+ years. The yellow paint will age nicely together with the unwashed 14 oz selvedge denim fabric itself. Over time, the yellow paint will fade, just like the indigo of the fabric.

 This limited edition Locker is made in a small run of 30 pieces only!

 For the fabric, we chose an American selvedge fabric that is woven on authentic shuttle looms. Weaving selvedge fabrics with a shuttle loom is a slow process that can’t be sped up, just like the production of the Locker style itself in our denim atelier in Chevremont, The Netherlands.

 The Locker is our interpretation of the classic chino style. With a fitted top block, it has tapered legs for a modern approach. A piece that never goes out of style. On the front, there are slanted pockets and our 13 stars classic workwear and military-inspired buttons on the fly. The waistband has our woven center tag Grivec Bros. label on the inside, while on the outside we added our special belt loops. On one of these belt loops, we added our GB logo as embroidery to mark our celebration. The inside of the Locker has a clean taped construction.

 What makes this chino style extra special is that it has our own, and thus unique, cut, and sewn top-block pattern. On the back, the pockets are clean, but the welt is finished with artisanal yellow paint for a remarkable and special look. As with all our Grivec Bros. styles, the Locker is wrapped in our unique mining launderette towel. This mining towel refers to the mining period where our denim legacy started. The towel is made in The Netherlands, just like the Locker itself, but outsourced to reach the highest quality.

 Wear it easy style with clean classic sneakers, leather shoes, or boots this Fall. You can’t go wrong with this style. The unwashed denim fabric will age and will be more beautiful each day, just like ourselves; ).
